• SYNOPSIS "ASERE HOP: ÚLTIMA LLAMADA AL RAP CUBANO" is a feature-length documentary that blends music, art in motion and social reflection on the current situation of hip hop culture in Cuba. The aim is to make this underground culture visible through different artistic expressions, but focusing on rap. It shows the difficulties these artists face in expressing themselves authentically in a country where freedom of expression is coerced. This documentary piece aims to give a voice to those who cannot achieve their artistic aspirations. And in many cases, migration is the only option they have to develop. The current situation of injustice and lack of resources must be made visible beyond their borders. Since the whole world is really unaware of what is going on. Asere Hop is a fictitious airline, created for the occasion. Asere Hop invites all representatives of the Cuban hip hop culture to get on board to reach a better destiny. Through this metaphor, we will discover (in an artistic way) the yearnings and desires of Cuban artists. How? Through a call for hope and unity among its members. This universal symbol of freedom is intended to convey the resilience of all Cubans, despite their suffocating situation.
