• SYNOPSIS Inhabitants of Lerga - Inhabitants of Auritzberri-Espinal. ZINEMA AUZOLANEAN 2024 is a collective experience proposed by Hiruki Filmak, which invites the inhabitants of Lerga and Auritzberri / Espinal to make a film portrait of their village. The filmmakers of Hiruki accompany the creative process in its different phases without intervening as authors, acting as facilitators in the making of each film, so that the inhabitants are the true authors. The script for each of the films is worked on through participatory assemblies in which citizens decide what is part of the film and how they want their position to be portrayed. The objective is to encourage creativity and decision making by bringing cinema closer to people who go from being spectators to makers. As a result of the whole process, ZINEMA AUZOLANEAN 2024 will have two non-fiction films of about 20 - 30 minutes in length, in which each village collectively determines how to portray and self-represent itself.
